Our Indigenous Opportunities in Queensland

Every young person dreams of being 'something'. Now you can be what you want to be through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education toward Employment Scholarship Scheme.

We're the proud initiators of the scheme. We're even prouder to now coordinate it at whole-of-Government level.

What's the Scholarship Scheme all about?

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education toward Employment Scholarship Scheme helps promising and motivated indigenous youths from Queensland to enjoy a bright future.

The Scholarship Scheme provides financial assistance and practical support (like work experience and mentoring) for the duration of their high school career.

Am I eligible to apply?

Year 9 students of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent who intend to complete Years 10, 11 and 12 (or equivalent) are eligible to apply.

How do I apply?
